I am Megan Vargo. I am the 5th-grade teacher. I have been part of the St. Francis School Community as a parent for the last couple of years. I am excited to be joining as a teacher. I graduated from Westminster College in 2011 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Special Education Minor. I returned to school and received an ESL Endorsement from Weber State University in 2013. I just recently graduated from Western Governors University with a Master's in Mathematics Education. I have been teaching in Granite School District for the last 8 years. During those 8 years, I was a special education teacher and a kindergarten teacher.

My teaching philosophy is to provide a setting that every student can learn. I want every student to succeed in and out of the classroom. I have implemented many strategies over the years with whole group and small group instruction to allow this to happen. Some of the things that you will see within my classroom this year will allow students to learn to their fullest potential.

I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 2010. We have two children, Connor and Sadie. Our little family can often be found camping on the weekends, gardening, or spending time with our extended family. I have recently learned how to cross stitch Christmas stockings, which I am usually working on in the evenings.
