My name is Rachel Cooke and I am a music educator, singer, and pianist from Memphis, Tennessee. I moved to Salt Lake City in 2017 from Dallas, Texas, where I earned my Master of Music in Vocal Performance and Opera from the University of North Texas. Although classical music is my specialty, I enjoy an eclectic mix of all musical genres. I believe that every human should enjoy music as part of their daily lives, and I am passionate about helping students to discover the ways that music enriches the world around them.
In addition to singing and playing the piano, I also play the cello and ukulele. I love to travel with my favorite human (my husband and fellow musician, Chris Oglesby) and attending the symphony, opera, theater, and museums. If I'm not somewhere enjoying music or the arts, you'll probably find me outside enjoying God's creation. I love all animals, but especially my cats, Piper and Graham. I am so excited to be a part of the St. Francis Xavier School community!
